Junior Accounting Specialist
EuroAtlantic Airways is an international commercial aviation company registered in Portugal. We operate Boeing 767, 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft across a diverse range of international routes. With a dedicated team, we pride ourselves on our global reach and high standards of service.
We are looking for a Junior Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Department. This role will support the Accounting team in the accurate and timely execution of daily accounting activities, contributing to the reliability of financial information and compliance with accounting requirements.
The successful candidate will support accounting operations, reconciliations, reporting, month-end closing, and audit activities, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Process and verify invoices and accounting records
- Assist with bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assist with financial reporting and accounting schedules
- Maintain accurate accounting documentation and records
- Support VAT, tax, and audit-related activities
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, clients, and external partners on accounting matters
- Support the Finance team with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks
Requirements
- Degree or ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Internship or up to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance is considered an advantage
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with ERP or accounting software is an advantage
- Proficiency in English
- Having started the certification process with the Portuguese Order of Chartered Accountants (OCC) is considered a plus
